One of the most discussed new car launches of the eighties was the two-seater Pontiac Fiero with a mid-engine from 1984. The Fiero, an innovative space frame design with a plastic body, was a fuel-efficient sports car that fit perfectly into the era and quickly caught the attention of the public when Pontiac was still really exciting. All '84 Fieros were powered by a simple "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, but the powerful Fiero GT launched in 1985 also featured a more powerful 2.8-liter multi-injection V6 engine and a special aero kit for the body.
The latter was almost entirely taken over by the race-ready '84 Fiero, which served as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 that year. This easy-to-build 1:24 scale Revell kit meticulously recreates the '85 Fiero GT, which Pontiac confidently calls "More show. More go. More wing. More zing.
