The Caudron C.714 was a French lightweight fighter aircraft developed in the late 1930s. Designed as a fast and economical interceptor, it featured a sleek wooden airframe and retractable landing gear. Although modern in appearance, the aircraft was underpowered and saw limited combat use during the early stages of World War II.
The C.714 entered service with the French Air Force in 1940. It is also known for its use by Polish volunteer pilots of the “Groupe de Chasse I/145" during the Battle of France. Despite its limitations, the aircraft remains a notable example of pre-war French fighter design.
The Caudron C.714 was produced in 1939–1940 and operated during the early phase of World War II.
